We’re happy to announce that Quixel is partnering with NVIDIA to support the Material Definition Language (MDL) format.

NVIDIA’s vision with MDL is to allow for a single material definition across multiple applications, renderers, and real-time engines.

Providing Megascans assets in the MDL format will allow for seamless and reliable transmission of material data across 3D programs and renderers. As an artist, this means less guesswork and more great looking materials.

Chaos Group V-Ray, Epic Games Unreal Studio, NVIDIA Iray, and SOLIDWORKS Visualize are all MDL-enabled applications.
