Megascans Trees are now available to download for Unreal Engine 5 on the Unreal Engine Marketplace and are ready to use right out of the box—simply drag and drop to quickly create an optimized forest scene in your projects. The new assets in this release allow you to add even more variety to the vegetation and foliage of your outdoor scenes in minutes.

Our dedicated team has gone to great lengths to ensure that this release captures the true essence of nature. We have refined these complex and beautiful living assets through extensive development and iterations to provide unparalleled realism.

What’s in the pack?

This collection is an Early Access pack that includes 15 unique models of trees of varying maturity to build a photorealistic Maple forest. As part of our commitment to providing you with photorealistic assets for your projects, the Norway Maple pack includes a powerful foliage master material that enables you to control seasons and wind effects. This innovative feature adds an extra layer of authenticity, allowing you to easily mimic nature’s ever-changing beauty.

The Norway Maple collection is a complete tree species pack containing 15 unique tree assets:

  • 8 forest trees
  • 2 field trees
  • 3 saplings
  • and 2 seedlings.

A dynamic shader is included to provide procedural controls over seasons, health, wind, and many other functionalities compatible across the entire Megascans vegetation library.

The trees are optimized with unique LODs, shader quality tiers, and various wind implementations (both simple and Pivot Painter) for maximum performance.

All tree variants are set up for painting and can be easily dragged and dropped to create a dense realistic forest scene.

We are excited to hear what you think about this latest release and look forward to your feedback.
